PORCELAIN MOSAICS
Porcelain mosaics are an ideal choice for swimming pools, offering a blend of durability, beauty, and function. GLASS MOSAICS with SMART LINK
The Reflections range of glass pool mosaics use the SmartLink™ Italian Hotmelt Mounting System, specifically engineered for glass. Unlike porcelain, glass is completely non-porous, making it harder for adhesives to grip. This requires a more advanced jointing and mounting method to achieve maximum adhesion and long-term performance.
The SmartLink™ system applies a UV-resistant polyurethane (PU) thermo-adhesive in precise patterns, ensuring straight and even alignment of the tesserae, with no protrusion between stones. This allows for full grout penetration and a consistent finish. Independent CSIRO tests confirm an average of 93% available adhesion contact area, well above Australian Standards, ensuring that SmartLink™ provides the optimal bond for non-porous glass mosaics.
